Saturday Aug 29, 2020
Saturday Aug 29, 2020
Brand new episode out now
A catch up to what has been happening in the music industry the past couple of weeks.
We have had British rock success with Florence Black scoring a number for their single Bird on a chain
And the mighty Biffy Clyro scoring a number 1 for their new album a celebration of endings-who will be playing the next year Download Festival main stage
As well the positives I the one negative its time for the movement to stop turning a blind ye to the music industry the touring sector really needs support many are struggling because there are no shows enough is enough
Setting The Tone is standing with the industry
so many have been and continue to be affected by the pandemic. with not date as to when events will begin to take place something needs to be done.
The events sector urgently needs government support to survive the COVID-19 crisis.
Without major immediate support from the government, the entire live events supply chain is at risk of collapse.
Here is how you can help.
Please help us raise awareness by sharing this video and writing to your MP requesting:
- Grants rather than loans to support the entire live events supply chain
- An extension of the furlough scheme to support jobs until live events can safely take place again without social distancing
- An equivalent scheme to help freelancers and others excluded from furlough

A missive well done to Andy Copping and Kamran James Haq for putting together a monster of a festival for next year

EP 27 Wolf Jaw shoulda, Woulda, Coulda‘single review
Friday Jul 31, 2020
Friday Jul 31, 2020
New episode out now.
Pleased to announce Wolf Jaw 'Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda'
About the band Wolf Jaw are from Cannock
Tom Leighton - Guitar/Vocals
Dale Tonks - Bass/Vocals
Karl Selickis - Drums
UK based hard rock trio WOLF JAW drop brand new lyric video 'Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda' to mark the one year anniversary that saw their van and equipment stolen which prevented them from finishing their UK tour.
The tragic event saw fans from all over unite and set up a page to help them. This video is a tribute to those people. The video also shows the journey of Wolf Jaw and how the band have progressed from playing small clubs and pubs to the notable Download Festival, an achievement that many bands can only ever dream of!
The track comes from their 2019 album The Heart Won't Listen.
Check out the single Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlmAyNTVLe0
Described by Judas Priest's legendary front man Rob Halford as one of his "favorite up and coming rock bands", Wolf Jaw's combination of raw
power and passion for their music has created a sound that's described
as “Thunderous Rock'n'Roll” by their loyal fans and reviewers alike.
You can be sure that every time this power trio hit a stage you’re in for a
rollercoaster of riffs, solid grooves and choruses that will have you
singing all the way home and forever more; they make sure you don't
forget them in a hurry.

My thoughts
Okay So I will confuse I don’t know a lot about this band.
But I like what I’m hearing the guitars sound big and overall its well prodiced and clean.
It’s a band I struggle to say if you not sure if you will like them listen to so and so, I feel if you like heavy Rock you will like Wolf Jaw go and check them out
A band I will be keeping an eye in 2020-2021

Saturday Jul 25, 2020
On this Episode I discuss the cancelled utillta drive in shows and supporting local venues.
I feel that to help try and allow us to all get back to normality and attending shows, we all need to ensure we are doing our bit with covid weather that be personal hygiene or wearing a mask, enough is enough its time too many people are still suffering.
We all want live music back ASAP.

EP 25 Let the music play special
Thursday Jul 02, 2020
Thursday Jul 02, 2020
New episode out now.
This is my rally cry to everyone; the music industry needs help to survive.
Enough is enough.
Today we come together with the rest of the UK music industry to show our support for #letthemusicplay a campaign highlighting the crisis faced by the live music sector. We need the UK government to listen and act now to help protect venues that could be forced to close for good, aswell as supporting the workforce that make up the industry.
